Hello! My name is Alanna Searcy, 

I have been passionate about hair for as long as I can remember. I graduated from Wayne’s College of Beauty here in Santa Cruz in 1999. I embarked on my professional journey with a year-long apprenticeship at Kepare Hair Salon in Capitola. This invaluable experience paved the way for my career, and I was fortunate to continue working at Kepare Salon until its closure in April 2024. 

Now, I am thrilled to be part of the Kinship Hair Co. family, where I continue to pursue my passion for hairdressing. I specialize in color, highlights, as well as highlights and lowlights for a more natural look, and cutting all types of hair. I specifically love cutting Bobs, precision and textured, as well as shag cuts. Each client brings a unique canvas. I love creating beauty and style that enhance my clients natural features.  One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is the connection I build with my clients. Many of them have trusted me with their hair for over 20 years, and I feel deeply honored by their loyalty and friendship. 

Outside of the salon, I enjoy spending time with my family, my husband who is also a hairdresser, our 2 boys, 20 and 14, and our two dogs. We have a great community of friends that we share mountain biking, working out together, skateboarding,  surfing and doing a ton of outdoor activities with. My friends and family inspire me to love life and live it to the fullest every day. I look forward to continuing to create beautiful, personalized styles and building lasting relationships at Kinship Hair Co.   • Color, highlighting, & Glazes $125 per hour

  • In-Salon hydrating and moisturizing mask with color or cut, add on $40 or on it’s own including blowdry $75

  • WOW Dreamcoat Supernatural Spray Anti-Frizz Treatment — a spray that keeps straight, wavy, or curly frizz-prone hair silky, glossy and frizz-free for days. Add on $40 with any service or on it’s own $75

cancellation/Reschedule policy

Please allow 48 hours for rescheduling and cancellations. Any service cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours requires a full payment of the missed service before being allowed to reschedule again.
